Using TFI 3.0 may require states and districts to update training and coaching materials. Therefore, the Center on PBIS will be hosting both versions on PBISApps for the time being (both measures will be available at least through the end of the 2025-2026 school year—the Center will provide notice at least 12 months before converting the TFI 2.1 to read-only status on PBIS Assessment). During this time, we recognize that teams may need to compare scores across measures. For example:
- A school uses the TFI 3.0 to guide its implementation, but the district or state recognition systems have not yet been updated to include the TFI 3.0.
- A state wants to provide time for schools and districts to move to the TFI 3.0, and so during the interim, the state will accept fidelity scores from both the TFI 2.1 and TFI 3.0.
To facilitate these conversions, the conversion charts in the appendix can be used to determine equivalent total points scores for each tier.
