When completing CI/CO PBIS has 6 periods to score. Because I am working with K-8 grade students and many students come in when they arrive and come back when they are getting ready to be dismissed. The forms they have are smiley faces or sad face, others have checks, and others do not have a form but instead do a verbal chek in check out. Is there some way I can just score them for the day like 1-10 instead of each class?
CICO-SWIS is designed to be a targeted intervention. With Tier 2 interventions, all students use the same card so that the process is easy and efficient for staff and for data entry. Part of the readiness requirement with CICO-SWIS is creating a standard card. The CICO-SWIS facilitator for your school should be able to help your school with this process. If you don’t know who the facilitator is, please contact me with your school information, and I can contact the facilitator. There are ways to make the standard card work for all grade levels. Then, if students needed a different or more intensive intervention, they could be on a card that differs from the students in CICO. Please let me know if you have any questions.
