SAS #5 on Individual Sub-Set

Leslie Van Leishout Apr 20, 2015 10:45AM PDT

In the SAS under Sub-Set INDIVIDUAL question #5 states:

“Local resources are used to conduct functional assessment-based behavior support planning (~10 hrs/week/student).”

Can anyone explain the question as individual and tell me about the numbers at the end?
Thanks, Leslie

On the SAS in the subset “Individual Student Systems”, question #5 is asking does your system (district, regional support, or whatever) have staffing and resources available to conduct behavior support planning based on the findings of a completed functional behavior assessment. The system should have the availability to provide approximately10 hours per week when a student in your facility is in need of that service. The FTE that would address this need does not necessarily need to be located in the school that is completing the SAS, but does the system have the staffing to support the need if it was there. The FTE that would address this need may not need to be at the school all 10 hours, but would have time to work on the development of the behavioral support plan if all that time was necessary to complete the BSP.

This question has received the maximum number of answers.
